This group of photos was taken on May 13th, 2004 by Mike Fallon;
roughly 3 weeks after the prairie was seeded (the prairie was seeded on 24 April).
At this point a bit of green is showing.
However, the slight green sheen is mostly due to weeds.
The prairie plants are just beginning to sprout at this point.

Suprise arrival! Who knew that milkweed (although it's considered a bit of a weed)
would make an appearance soon after our treatments (spray and burn). (May, 2004)

A northerly view from the SW corner of the prairie.
Compare the treated (brown) to untreated (green) areas. (May, 2004)
