Friends of Hickory Hill Park provides a variety of different volunteering opportunities, from conservation work in the park to preparing mailings and assiting with sales and promotion of the annual FHHP calendar.
Our conservation work in the park regularly involves volunteers from school and university groups, fraternities and sorrorities, churches, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, and others. Most volunteer opportunities occur in Spring and Fall. We can tailor projects to the skill and experience level of your group and can provide supervision and training. We aim to make volunteer experiences educational. If you or your group are looking for a project in the park, please contact us a minimum of 30 days in advance of your porposed work date by e-mailing info@hickoryhillpark.org.
We are especially in need of volunteers with training to use equipment such as chainsaws andbrush mowers as well as people experienced in controlled burns. We also look for volunteers to assist with programming in areas like bird watching and plant identifcation.
If you have a special skill or talen that you would like to use to benefit our organization or the park, please contact us and let us know how you can help by e-mailing info@hickoryhillpark.org.
